This course was an introduction to parametric modeling for digital design and manufacturing technologies, with an emphasis on developing appropriate strategies for use in design and architecture. It explored the integration of digital design and fabrication through the use of powerful digital tools. Students tested advanced digital tools in architectural design through production, developing awareness and skills in integrated digital design, form finding, and prototyping. The course was an introduction to parametric design, laser cutting, and digital prototyping. Some of the key areas of focus were computational design, parametric modeling, and fabrication aware design.
